NEWX ("we", "us", "our") is a news aggregation and citizen journalism application developed and operated by Kaushik Technology Solutions ("KTS"), a company registered in India. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the NEWX mobile application (the "App") available on Google Play and the Apple App Store.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Poll responses are stored linked to your account so that (a) each poll appears in your feed only once and (b) we can tally aggregated results. Other users cannot see how you voted — only the overall counts and percentages are shown. Poll responses are deleted when you delete your account.

With your explicit permission, the App collects foreground location only (when you have the App open) to deliver hyperlocal news relevant to your area. The App does not collect background or "Always Allow" location.
Location data collected includes latitude, longitude, accuracy, city, region, and country. Coordinates are encrypted at rest and retained for up to 90 days, after which they are deleted.
When you tap Download on a video card, NEWX downloads the file from our content server and saves it to your device gallery. We request the add-to-gallery permission only at that moment; the App does not read, list, upload, or share any of the existing photos or videos already on your device.
Once a video is saved, the file is yours to manage in your device's gallery — uninstalling NEWX does not remove already-downloaded videos. We do not collect any of the videos you have saved.

The App does not integrate any third-party advertising SDKs, marketing analytics platforms (such as Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, or Facebook SDK), or behavioural tracking services. Product analytics (article reading and interaction events) are processed on our own servers and are not shared with any third party.

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.
KTS is based in India. If you access the App from outside India, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in India. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to India, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or via email. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was most recently revised. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
